Registration
Registration as a user is free. Certain functionalities (such as participating in groups and forums or creating blog posts) are only available to registered users. Only natural persons with at least limited legal capacity can become registered users. Registration is done via user login (username/password), and the registration must be confirmed via a personal email address.
The user warrants that the information provided by him, in particular the user information, is correct and complete and undertakes to keep the contact details in the user profile up to date at all times.
The user is obligated to keep the transmitted access data secure and protected from unauthorized access. They are not authorized to share their access with third parties or allow third parties to use it. The user bears full responsibility for any misuse of their access data. Misuse may result in the account being blocked or deleted.
The operator reserves the right to refuse user registration and/or delete accounts without notice at any time. This applies in particular to registrations with known spam domains, incomplete or obviously false registration information, accounts suspected of being spam, as well as the publication of off-topic content, repeated posting of advertising messages or other commercial content, or, for example, the operation of link farms (e.g., for link building, SEO optimization, affiliate marketing, etc.).
The operator reserves the right to change a user’s username in exceptional cases (e.g., in the case of ambiguous or inappropriate naming); in such a case, the operator will inform the user immediately by email.
User duties and responsibilities
By registering a user account, the user grants the operator an irrevocable, transferable, and non-exclusive right of use for the duration of the active user registration, which authorizes the use of the content within the online service. These rights of use are unlimited in terms of time, location, and medium (web, mobile, etc.). Upon deletion of the user account and the deletion of user contributions, the content will also be irrevocably removed; see also our privacy policy.
The user is fully responsible for their conduct on the portal, their personal user blog, and all content they post (e.g., texts, images, videos, comments, etc.). Before posting any content, the user must ensure that their conduct or the content they submit does not violate any legal regulations, accepted standards of decency, or the rights of third parties (e.g., trademark, name, copyright, and data protection laws, youth protection regulations, etc.) and is obligated to comply with country-specific regulations of their home country and the EU, in particular the legal notice requirements and the GDPR. Furthermore, the user is obligated to obtain the necessary consent from all parties involved, such as photographers or individuals depicted or mentioned, before posting any texts or images.
The user shall indemnify the operator against any third-party claims arising from the content transmitted by the user and shall reimburse the operator for any damages and costs, including the costs of legal defense against third-party claims.
Duties and responsibilities of the operator
The operator undertakes to publish the content in the user’s original version; no content or legal review, nor any editorial processing or modification of the content to be published will take place.
The retention period for submitted content on the portal is indefinite; however, there is no guaranteed right to retrieval or availability with this free service. Users can manage their content themselves at any time (modifying, deleting, etc.).
The operator reserves the right to reject registrations or content without giving reasons and to delete inactive user accounts as part of a system cleanup. There is no entitlement to free registration, even after registration has already taken place. Regardless of the fact that the operator does not check or edit the material, it reserves the right not to publish content under special circumstances without giving reasons or to remove content that has already been published. This particularly applies to users or blogs that do not comply with legal regulations (e.g. imprint obligation).
The operator will endeavor to maintain the platform’s availability with as little interruption as possible, but no specific availability is guaranteed. Liability for disruptions or outages is excluded.
The operator is entitled to modify the platform’s functionalities, appearance, or other features at its own discretion and to place advertisements around or within the transmitted content. The operator is not obligated to retain or store user content.
The operator is entitled to change or supplement the terms of use.
